Listen to Mac Talla Quartet in Concert May 20th!

May 20th at 2:30 at Grace-Westminster Church in Saskatoon, Mac Talla will be putting on a show. We love to do shows like this, because it gives us a chance to play the music we truly love. My favourites on our programme will be the 2nd movement of Beethoven quartet that always yanks my heartstrings, our arrangement of “The Rains of Castamere” from Game of Thrones, and of course the three Playford dance pieces I’ve been telling you about for months.

I have heard a few concerts at Grace-Westminster before, and I’m also looking forward to playing with the beautiful acoustics. This will be a memorable event! 505 10th Street East, Saskatoon.

“The Unhonoured Dead” and “A Lofty Mind” are posted on Patreon

Mac Talla Quartet and I have been hard at work making recordings of my latest string quartet pieces, “The Unhonoured Dead”, and “A Lofty Mind”. I am very proud of them, and my compatriots have played them beautifully.

You can listen to “The Unhonoured Dead” here. on Patreon.

You can listen to “A Lofty Mind” here, but you have to be my patron first. Hint hint.

Something Big’s in the Works

I’m working on something important… I don’t want to say exactly what it is yet because I want to build up suspense. Mwah hah hah. Suffice to say that it is a way for me to finally help people directly, and to usher more art and expression into the world. More news later!

Conduit – A Contemporary Dance Show

Conduit

Free Flow Dance is having their big shows November 17th and 18th at Persephone Theatre, and my piece, The Bohemian’s Progress, is being played by amazing peeps, Mac Talla Quartet. It’s on at 8 PM both nights.

For the first time, live music will be combined with Jennifer Bezaire’s dancing. We rehearsed together for the first time yesterday and it was energizing. It will be a thrill to be there onstage with an audience. Hope to see you there!
