Patreon! Patreon!

I have just launched my Patreon page. My fingers are actually shaking a little as I type this, because I have so much riding on the success of Patreon. My goal is to make enough money to support my family, modestly. That’s all I’ve wanted for so long. Isn’t it reasonable to think that a man should be able to do that? Support the people he loves by doing what he loves?

Here’s the link to Patreon. Visit, and contribute.

Gateway Festival 2016

2016-07-23 11.17.18

My and my little adventuring buddy, Kara, visited Bengough, Saskatchewan for the Gateway Festival. Establishing base camp in our trusty tent in the overflow parking, we experienced a weekend of music, swimming, and exploring the Big Muddy valley.

I loved Rosie and the Riveters, Fred Penner, Kirby Criddle and Shotgun Jimmie. However, the artist I most wished to see was Corb Lund, Alberta’s modern-day troubadour. He was scheduled to play at 11:00 PM on the Friday, but a thunderstorm rolled in and I had to whisk Kara away to our tent. There, she fell asleep, and I didn’t have the heart to wake her when the band started playing at 1:00 AM. So I had to listen to my favourite songs echo throughout the campsite. It sounded like a really good show (droopy face).
